Do you know Him?

Do you know the God we sing about?  It is one thing to believe there is a God, but it is life-changing to know Him personally and depend on Him daily. That is His true desire.

In Romans 6:23, it says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  If we wait until we are through sinning to accept Christ, it will be too late!  Truly, sin is our nature.  We were born into sin and God is the only one that can change us.  And He tells us in 1 John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

He also tells us in His word in Romans 10:9 – “if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”  When we do this, it is Him that changes our “want-to-er’s.” You will notice that you won’t “want to” do the things you were previously doing because He changes us.  It is incredible how that works! 

 If you are waiting until you get everything right in life before you decide you want to hear more about God, please listen to this, you are wasting precious time!  Without God, you can’t do it!  This is spoken out of true experience!  He is the one who transforms our minds and changes our hearts!  Romans 12:12 says – “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”  

We have heard it said, “I have seen how Christians act and if that is the way it is, I don’t want to be one.”  We understand that feeling; we too have seen how some people act who proclaim to be Christians.  However, we believe that if their actions and words don’t align with the Word of God, then they have not truly accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and are not walking with Him.  But, don’t let that keep you from accepting what the Lord wants to do in your life.  And, don’t let the emotions caused by seeing the actions of other people; steal your opportunity to receive what the Lord has for you! 

Our prayer for you………  May our Lord Jesus Christ touch you right where you are, and fill you with His love, grace, mercy and forgiveness.  And, may you know Him, and receive all that He has for you!
